After a very hectic few weeks with none less than 4 weddings this weekend, we are delighted to show our fabulous wedding at Los Monteros with a black and white theme. There will be more photos to come of this wedding, these are our snapshots!

Our creative bride had thought out many details which we designed with her and created the theme of black and white with pearls.

There will be photos of the church in Marbella to come with all the bridal flowers, we created the fans decorated with black and white ribbons and pearls, the confetti cones again to match plus the mass booklets for the church, I took some snapshots before they left here!

For the reception we decorated miniature cava bottles for the girls with name tags tied on with white ribbons, decorated with pearls and a black straw and for the men we did cigars, again with name tags but decorated with black ribbons plus we had a fun time doing a lovely Disney Clubhouse kids table for her little girl who was also celebrating her second birthday, complete with Disney Clubhouse party bags, balloons and of course a birthday cake :)
Our lovely martini's adorned the tables, although they were on and off for a while due to the wind, that eventually as always here in Spain, died down as the evening progressed along with white lanterns hung on the gazebos and over the bar.
We loved the table names, all named after bands with the Commitments as the top table! My favourite table name was the grown up girls table, The New York Dolls!
More fabulous photos to come of this wedding, including the church, when I have nagged the photographer to boredom and beyond :) x

Engagement Dress Care

All of women would choose to preserve their engagement dresses in a safe position after their engagement. All in all, the dress a woman has worn in her engagement is a perfect souvenir for a valuable memory. Also, it would be even more meaningful if you could pass your engagement dress to your daughter or even granddaughter who will be definitely excited to wear her mum's or grandma's wedding gown on her wedding! But how to preserve a wedding dress for many years or even generations? This article will talk about some advice about in what ways to preserve a wedding gown.

1. Never purchase storage box with a "viewing window" as windows are usually made of harmful plastics, which are chemically unstable by birth and tend to smirch your wedding dress when it ages.
2. Make sure your engagement can breathe. Never store your gown in a seamless box. Just like human beings, a wedding dress needs to some fresh air to keep its life. Suffocated space would speed up its aging. In addition, seamless space would generate moisture and mildew, the most powful killer of your wedding gown. To ensure that your wedding gown is preserved in good conditions, you should unpack the storage package and let the gown breathe in some fresh air for one or two days occasionally.
3. Position all of the accessories of your wedding dress in different places, including all metal buttons, pins , tiaras and sponge padding, some of which may be covered with fabric. Metal Substances will oxidize and smudge your wedding gown.

4. Opt for high quality and colorless tissue paper and a sturdy, high quality and no-acid and no-lignin box. Fold the gown, position the tissue paper between folds to avoid long-time lasting breaks or wrinkles.

5. Make your bridal gown cleaned as soon as possible after the wedding ceremony. It (would be|tends to be|is usually|is often) more tricky to eliminate stains on your wedding dress after a certain period of time. Therefore, you should have your bridal dress cleaned to a trustworthy dry cleaner as soon as you can. If your honey moon is scheduled right after your wedding ceremony, ask your mum or a reliable friend to deal with the cleaning and preserving issues of the wedding gown.

What Does The Perfect Wedding Dress Look Like?

When everyone's attention is on the bride, it is important for her to look her best. Choosing the perfect wedding dress is vital in capturing the bride's elegance and beauty. With all the selections available it can sometimes be hard to decide where to start in selecting that perfect wedding gown. Before one can know exactly what it is they are looking for in a wedding dress, it can be important to understand where some of the modern traditions in popular styles originated from, in order to help make an educated selection.

Prior to modern times, elegant weddings were held for the prestigious and were mostly arranged marriages. Therefore, the bride and grooms were often looked upon as symbols of the wealth of the family. Because of this, it was thought important for the bride to be adorned with as much glamour and trinkets as possible. Wedding gowns came in many colors and styles and the more large and grand the size of the dress; the more beautiful it was considered. Many of the styles that the wealthy wore were imitated throughout the various ranks of the social classes, but it was hard for lower class citizens to even have a formal ceremony as income was sparse. Instead woman would wear church attire as cheap wedding dresses.

As time moved on the styles began to change with the culture. But the trend of the rich setting the styles seemed to stay the same. It wasn't until the year 1840 that the white wedding dress was made popular by Queen Victoria. Up until that point dresses were commonly various colors, but the Queen looked so beautiful in her dress that it set a new trend that in a lot of cases carries over to this day and age.

Today tastes are much broader, but it is still important to consider things such as cost and popularity when selecting a dress for that special day. If the budget is willing a designer dress may be the way to go, but it is also important to consider location. A designer dress wouldn't make much sense to wear outdoors at say a beach wedding. Instead a beautiful beach wedding dress would be more appropriate. These tend to be higher cut dresses with less fabric and are perfect for that Caribbean wedding.

Not going to the beach, but still plan on having an outdoor or casual service? Informal wedding dresses are a perfect solution for not having to worry about dragging your expensive designer dress through the dirt or mud. Modest wedding gowns are available in all designs, colors, and sizes and are perfect for any budget. Wedding dresses are as diverse as the brides themselves. Plus size wedding gowns, custom jewelry, and select accessories are readily available.
Not spending as much on a dress can leave money for an exciting honey moon and many may not think spending a lot on a designer dress is practical for a dress that will only be worn once. Others still might want a dress that can be passed down from one generation to the next so going that extra mile on a dress just might seem worth it. What ever it is you're looking for chances are that you can find the right dress for you.

Difference between Spring and Winter Wedding Invitations

Contemporary wedding etiquette allows you to create wedding invitations that reflect whatever you want about your wedding style. The formality of the event, your wedding colors, your personal style and more should all be taken into consideration. You can choose wedding invitations that are elegant, traditional, whimsical or trendy. Your wedding invitations can reflect the theme of your wedding in motifs, borders, colors and embellishments. When you are choosing wedding invitations for your big day, one thing you may not consider is the significance of the season in which your wedding will be held.

Is there actually such a thing as spring wedding invitations or winter wedding invitations? While most wedding invitation printers and online wedding sites do not necessarily differentiate their wedding invitations by seasons, there are definite differences between wedding invitation styles that are popular in the spring and those that are appropriate for a winter wedding.

If you are ordering invitations for a winter wedding, you might look for some of the following details:

Winter motifs

Motifs are small images and figures that appear at different places on your wedding invitation. Some popular winter wedding invitation motifs include falling snowflakes and snow-covered pines. If you are in a whimsical mood, you might choose a wedding invitation topped with a bride and groom snowman, or a holly leaf or sprig of mistletoe for the Christmas season.

Winter Colors

Silver and gold are always popular in winter wedding invitations. Touches of silver printing on snowflake borders are an elegant way to express a wintertime theme. Other winter colors are Christmas colors. If your wedding takes place around the winter holidays, you might choose invitations with rich, red envelope liners and touches of red printing. Deep forest green satin ribbons are another wintry touch that you can subtly add to your wintertime wedding invitations.

Holiday photos

Photo invitations give you another way to include something seasonal in your wedding invitations. Choose a beautiful, snowy forest scene as the backdrop for your wedding invitations, or a bough of pine and a red ribbon to express the season.

Seasonal Embellishments Colors are rich with symbolism and meaning. Choose flat invitations in white, then embellish with rich garnet satin ribbons and foil envelope liners, or enclose the invitation in a translucent wrap patterned with snowflakes.

If you are buying invitations for a spring wedding, you might consider some of the following elements in your wedding invitations:

Flower motifs

Delicate flower prints on corners or borders are one way to invoke a spring feeling in your wedding invitations. Sprays of bouquets and all over background prints of growing flowers are common springtime motifs for wedding invitations.

Vibrant colors

Bold, splashy prints in vibrant colors sing spring in a loud voice for a contemporary springtime wedding. Bright oranges, turquoise and persimmon are among the hottest colors for springtime weddings. Choose colors for your wedding invitations that coordinate with your wedding colors to get a completely coordinated look for your entire event.

Yia and Saul: Entwined

Amorology had the opportunity to work with Yia and Sal  and we loved her soft palette of colors and all of the twine and textural elements.  We just had to share.  It was organic and rustic but soft and pretty all at the same time.
The ruffly rununculus are one of my all time favorite flowers.   There is something so sweet about them.

all of the beautiful flowers were done by Paula of Rae Florae who is just as sweet as she is talented.  I especially adored  Yia's bouquet and Sal's boutonierre with it's hint to the SEA (also the groom's initials).

I Love Love Loved Sal's suit.  Seriously, it's amazing the difference a good suit can make.  The two of them were fashion at its finest and beautiful together in every way.

The cake was simply stunning and delectable by Elaine from Sweet Cheeks Baking.  It was the perfect complement to the tasty food by Barry from Coast Catering .  Delicious evening all around! ... and the roses at The Darlington were in full blo0m and breathtaking!

The table was set with kraft paper numbers, rustic frames that held the menu, mason jars filled with flowers and tied with twine.  Candlelit mercury glass added to ambiance.

Kraft paper boxes tied with twine doubled as favors and escort cards,  holding mexican wedding cookies and fortune cookies to represent the blending of their two cultures.

Yia and Sal, you are darling and sweet and have been such a Joy to work with! It was so much fun to share in your day.  We wish you all the best in your life to come.

All of the STUNNING photography was done by Paloma Images.  Be sure to take a look at their collection of work.  They have quite a portfolio.
