Kat

Kat is someone who is beautiful inside and out. I really enjoyed working with her. She is very generous! She's very patient with fittings. I told her whatever dress she would wear, I know she will look good in it. I made her a very romantic, feminine wedding gown with a modern twist. The bodice is embellished with lace, pearls, and crystals, and the skirt is made of strips of organza and tulle. I added a silk satin bow to cinched the waist and to add a feminine touch.

I can proudly say that Jen's dress is one of the best wedding gowns I've done ;-) It's modern, it's elegant, and most of all, it captured her personality. ;-)

This is our story.

I met Jen because Marge recommended me. (Thank you sis! haha). During the first meeting, Jen showed me A LOT of beautiful photos as pegs for her dream wedding gown. I asked her the same questions that I normally ask my clients. "What kind of bride are you? What do you like? What are the things you don't like? You want this? How about this one? Oh.. okay ;-)" I like how Jen thinks. She appreciates style (you can really say she likes something unique and "kakaiba" the way she dresses up! She's really a style icon! ;-) After a lot of meetings, she chose the final design! ;-) Yey! ;-)

As designers, sometimes, during the "process" of making the clothes, random ideas come to our minds. Things we didn't plan but it simply pops out! While doing Jen's dress, it happened to me and I thought of changing the design because I felt she deserved something better! After all, it's her special day and all I want to do is to make her happy and feel special! I texted her, "Hi Jen, how are you? Is it okay if I change the design of your gown?" And she replied quickly and said "Hi Veejay, sige, bahala ka na. I trust you!" I literally jumped!!! haha ;-)

I also made this crystal-embellished lace gloves ;-)
Her shoes is super cute!!!

Chris and Shirley

Shirley is one of the most OC clients I've ever had.. haha.. Super! Every small detail matters.. And Chris is very supportive. (But i like it coz i think, if ever I'll get married, I'll be super OC too.. haha)

The first time I met Shirley, I was not sure if she will book me. Seriously.. So i did my best to present her something that she can't refuse. :-) And when she came to pick up all the clothes na, she told me she went to almost 10 designers and luckily, she chose me! :-)

Both of them have good taste.. They are very creative.. I love the concept of their wedding.. Vintage, romantic, sophisticated.. I was super happy when i saw the photos.. We nailed it! :-) And I told Shirley, "pwede pala kayo ni Chris maging model eh.. galing nyo mag pose!"

This is what she replied "haha. model? not siguro. im so glad you finally get to see the pics. sure, do invite us in one of your shows. would love to see your new creations.. hope maging veluz ka din. i'll never tire of recommending you to my weddings@work sisters. i will continue to follow through your recent involvement and activities through your blogs and social network sites. more power! hugs!"
